Abstract

In this case, we customized 6,000 double-sided Japanese Furoshiki for a Japanese gift company, mainly for promotional purposes. The customer had strict requirements on the material, color, and craftsmanship. We recommended Special crepe cloth and used laser cutting to ensure the edges were neat. After several proofings, the customer was very satisfied with the final product. This cooperation consolidated our long-term cooperative relationship with Japanese customers.

Initial communication

May 30rd, 2024, we received an inquiry from a gift company from Japan. This company mainly deals in various exquisite Japanese gifts. They hope to customize 3 different colors of fabric gift wrap for promotional purposes, the custom furoshiki size is 70*70 cm, and QTY is 6000pcs. The customer did not confirm the specific color, printing method, and material at first, they needed our professional advice.

Communication Phase

After our detailed communication, the customer finally decided on the following points:

Color selection: We show the customer various cloth gift wrap colors and patterns used in previous projects. After an internal discussion, the customer chose 3,000 pieces of pure pink and green each. However, for the specific furoshiki pink and green color numbers, they hope to confirm them through proofing. We proofed 4 similar color samples for each color and sent them to the customer, they finally chose green sample A and pink sample C.

Printing and dyeing method: The customer consulted on both DIG printing and dyeing processes. Considering furoshiki cloth printing MOQ, process complexity, and cost, the customer finally chose the double-sided dyeing process to achieve better visual effects.

Material selection: The customer showed great interest in polyester materials. We recommend polyester fabrics with crepe patterns, this fabric can meet the purpose of the fabric gift wrap and also shows a charming luster in the sun, the overall effect is very beautiful. To better demonstrate the effect of this material, we sent relevant pictures and videos to the customer for confirmation.

Cutting method: The customer is very concerned about the cutting method and requires laser cutting. The custom furoshiki edges need to be neat and there should be no thread ends. To better meet the expected needs, the customer sent us wrapping fabric samples. We produced the samples according to the customer’s requirements and sent them for confirmation. After receiving the samples, the customer said that the wrapping cloth cutting technology was very good and met their expectations.

The customer paid for the bulk the day after receiving the samples, and we started to produce the bulk.

Production Process

Proofing: Within 7 days, we made 4 color samples for pink and green according to the customer’s requirements, and laser cut them to ensure neat edges and no threads. The customer was very satisfied with our cutting technology, especially the precision of laser cutting.

Mass production: The estimated production time for bulk production is 35 days, and we completed all production within 28 days. During the production process, we strictly control every process link, including double-sided dyeing, laser cutting, and sewing, to ensure that each gift wrapping furoshiki meets high standards.

Quality inspection and delivery: After the mass production is completed, we conduct a comprehensive quality inspection to ensure that all products meet customer requirements and deliver them in advance to save customers’ time.
