Abstract

In September 2024, Japanese customers discovered Pace-Setter customized japanese noren and anime wall scrolls at the Tokyo Gift Show and expressed their approval of their quality. 

They hoped to customize japanese door curtains and personalized wall scrolls of the same quality. After several rounds of communication, the customer finally determined the plan and confirmed the production of 500 pieces/styles.

Due to the custom noren size, we strictly controlled the weft issue during production. We used digital printing and laser cutting technology to ensure size accuracy. After a thorough inspection, we completed and delivered the final product.

Initial Communication

During the Tokyo Gift Show, the customers showed great interest in our decorative wall scroll. After communicating on-site communication and understanding our production capacity and process standards, he proposed a custom japanese noren curtain and fabric wall scroll made of the same material and process. 

Japanese style door curtains and custom wall scrolls are both home decorations, and they have many similarities in materials and printing processes. Therefore, the customer hopes to use nylon material and digital printing technology to ensure the pattern is colorful and the details are clear.

In December, the customer completed the final design manuscript, and we immediately arranged production and sent samples for customer confirmation.

Proofing and Production

During the proofing stage, we strictly follow the sizes provided by customers for production.

Due to the large noren size, ordinary fabrics are prone to weft skew problems when cutting, that is, the finished product may not be square. To solve this problem, we use digital printing + laser cutting to keep the fabric in precise shape after printing and dyeing and ensure that the final door curtain is symmetrical and natural when hanging.

After receiving the sample, the customer approved the pattern clarity, printing color, fabric feel, and dimensional accuracy and confirmed mass production. Among them, custom wall scroll printing products require additional assembly of hanging scrolls and ropes to ensure that the products received by customers can be directly installed and used.

Customer Feedback

After receiving the noren curtain and cloth wall scrolls, the customer gave positive feedback. They were especially happy with how well we controlled the measurements and thought we had avoided the usual problem of weft skew that happens when making big door curtains. 

The high-quality printing, accurate colors, and neat sewing successfully met their hopes for the final wall scroll poster and Japanese door hanging. The customer said they would consider adding new patterns in the future and recognized Pace-Setter’s production capabilities.

Summary

This customized japanese noren and wall scrolls project is another successful case of Pace-Setter in the production of home decorations. 

From the initial communication at the Tokyo Gift Fair to the final mass production, we always pay attention to customer needs and smoothly promote the customization process. 

From sample proofing to mass production, we use advanced process technology to ensure japanese noren and scroll wall hanging quality and accuracy and win the trust of customers.
