Abstract

This case study shows the complete process of a custom PVC zipper pouch bag for a Chinese customer. The customer deals in groceries and plans to use this product for packing socks. The order quantity is 27,780 custom zipper pouches, with a finished size of 17 cm x 12.5 cm x 4 cm.

The customer sent us a sample for reference at the beginning of the project. During the production process, this was our first attempt at a custom pvc pouch with zipper, and we explored everything from fabric to printing to sewing. 

Although there was a printing error requiring a second printing. We finally completed a full inspection and delivered the bulk product within the agreed timeline, ensuring customer delight.

Initial Communication

On July 9, 2025, a Chinese customer contacted us via email with a request for customized PVC zip bags. The customer’s company deals in a range of grocery products. This order was primarily for packaging socks, requiring them to be moisture-proof and appealing.

To better realize their needs, the customer sent us a physical sample and specified the color and size, etc. The client requested a finished bag size of 17*12.5*4 cm, with a zipper and a woven label. 

The color was custom according to their design, and the pattern was DIG printed. The client stressed quality and asked for a full examination of the PVC zipper pouch to make sure that each bag matched retail standards.

Proofing

After receiving the client’s sample, we began testing the PVC material. Since this was Pace-Setter first attempt at producing custom zipper bags, we did initial research on fabric sourcing, printing, and sewing.

During the proofing process, the printing made a pattern error, resulting in the zipper pouch sample not matching the client’s design. We swiftly notified the printer, corrected the issue, and reproduced the correct sample. 

The adjusted sample fully met the client’s needs: the PVC material thickness, color saturation, and printing accuracy were all suitably good for the client. After confirming the zipper PVC bag sample, the client quickly approved full-scale production. 

Customer Feedback

The customer was happy with both the final personalized zipper pouch and the bulk production. They especially praised our ability to solve problems throughout our first production run of PVC zipper bags. Despite a printing error that took some time, we promptly addressed it and maintained strict quality control before delivery of the bulk batch.

The customer well liked our thorough inspection process. They reported that the PVC bags had a fine, crisp print and a strong, smooth zipper, fully meeting their sock packaging needs. 

Summary

This collusion marked Pace-Setter first foray into custom PVC zipper pouch bag production. We beat many technical hurdles, from fabric matching to printing and sewing, and delivered 27,780 zipper pouch bags in a short period of time. Through secondary proofing and adjustments, we finally met the customer’s full color, printing, and construction needs.

This project showcased Pace-Setter innovative spirit and problem-solving skills when tackling new materials and products. We not only completed thorough inspections of our custom zipper pouch bags to make sure they were of premium quality, but we also gained the customer’s trust by communicating clearly and making quick changes. Even though this was a one-order, it was a great learning experience for us and helped Pace-Setter get even better at making personalized bags.
