Abstract

This case involves a customer from a Japanese grocery store who customized 1010 Japanese furoshiki wrapping. The product uses digital printing technology, with a colorful pattern and a size of 70x70cm. The customer requires the printed pattern to be bright and detailed.

During the production process, the biggest challenge lies in the adaptability of multi-color printing, which requires precise control of color penetration and uniformity. To solve these difficulties, we adjusted the furoshiki gift wrap printing technology to ensure the accurate restoration of the furoshiki wrapping pattern color. 

In the end, the custom digital printing cotton furoshiki was delivered smoothly within the specified time, and the customer was highly satisfied with the quality of the finished product and expressed that they would continue to cooperate in the future.

Initial Communication

On October 17, 2024, we received an inquiry from a Japanese grocery store. The customer wanted to customize a fabric gift wrap, which needed to meet high-quality digital printing standards and show excellent color effects.

This traditional furoshiki is made of pure cotton stripe cloth and is designed for wrapping. It is environmentally friendly and strong, suitable for a variety of purposes. 

The size of each furoshiki cloth is 70x70cm, it can provide enough wrapping area and is fit for various scenes in daily life.

The printing process of the fabric furoshiki adopts advanced digital printing technology, presenting exquisite multi-color patterns, bright colors, and clear layers, which can show a unique artistic style.

In terms of sewing technology, we use hemming technology to enhance the durability of the furoshiki wrapping fabric, while making its edges more neat and beautiful. 

After proofing, the customer was very satisfied with the gift wrapping furoshiki and placed a large order. We completed the whole process of production.

The Japanese furoshiki packaging adopts a single independent packaging to ensure that each furoshiki will not be damaged during transportation. A total of 1010 furoshiki were produced to meet the customer’s high requirements for quality.

Challenge

The customer requires the printed furoshiki cloth to have a bright and colorful design, focusing on the richness and layering of colors. 

However, due to the special material of the stripe cloth, and the use of digital printing technology for large-area, multi-color pattern printing, this puts high demands on our production process.

The Japanese market has a high demand and aesthetic for custom furoshiki, especially under the premise that the colors need to be bright and the details need to be accurate. 

We need to ensure that the color reproduction and compatibility of the furoshiki wrapping cloth achieve the best effect.

Solution

To ensure that the custom furoshiki printing effect meets customer requirements, we specially selected high-quality cotton stripe cloth, which is suitable for digital printing, and debugged the printing machine to meet the challenges of multi-color and large-area printing.

During the production process, we pay special attention to detail processing. Because the printing design of the furoshiki cloth contains multiple colors, we have made precise adjustments to the digital printing equipment to ensure that the pattern colors are layered.

In addition, we also conduct strict quality control for the vintage furoshiki hemming process to ensure that each edge is flat and firm.

Due to its special weaving process, stripe cloth needs to pay special attention to color penetration and printing uniformity when printing. 

To this end, we specially selected printing inks suitable for this type of Japanese cloth for wrapping and passed multiple tests to ensure the best effect.
