Abstract

This case shows the first cooperation between Pace-Setter and a bag company in Hong Kong, China. The customer wanted to customize a triangular bag and required pure cotton horizontal stripes. 

The size and color of the triangle shape bag were customized according to the design provided. Through efficient communication and precise production technology, the mass production was completed and received high praise from the customer. 

This cooperation gave us valuable experience to deeply understand customer needs and improve production processes.

Initial Communication

On August 5, 2024, the customer submitted an inquiry through our website, expressing the hope of custom triangular bags as part of its new bag series. The customer’s company mainly sells various customized bags to the market.  

Their requirements for the triangle tote bag are relatively specific, and they clearly stated that the product needs to use pure cotton horizontal stripes, and hope to be able to customize the product according to the triangle bag pattern design.

During the initial communication process, we learned about the customer’s specific needs in detail, such as the material, size, and quantity. The customer custom 3 designs bags, 500 pieces each, with sizes of 40x31cm and 75x58cm, and the triangle shaped bag pattern needs to be executed according to the design.

In addition, the customer particularly emphasized the use of triangle logo bag woven labels for the washing label, the conventional requirements for the hemming process, and the high requirements for the printing and dyeing effect. Digital printing was used to ensure the triangle tote bag pattern printing accuracy and color reproduction.

Challenges encountered

Although the customer provided the finished product size, the design of the cut piece was relatively complex. 

Since the cut piece of the bag was a parallelogram, the customer could only provide the finished triangle shaped bag size, and the cut piece needed to be adjusted repeatedly to finally determine the appropriate size. 

After we understood this, we said that we would try our best to provide triangl bag samples that met the requirements and ensure the final production effect.

Proofing

After confirming all the details, we started to work on the proofing. Due to the special shape of the triangle design bag and the finished product size rather than the cut piece size provided by the customer, the design and adjustment of the cut piece became the key difficulty of the entire proofing stage.

We first made preliminary cut pieces according to the finished product size provided by the customer, and then started to make multiple designer triangle bag samples, repeatedly adjusting the angles and sizes of the cut pieces to ensure each bag could fully meet the design requirements.

After each adjustment, we would make Japanese triangle bag samples and confirm with the customer to ensure that each modification was in the right direction. 

During the proofing process, customers actively participated and provided feedback, to helped us better understand their needs. After 7 days of proofing, the size of the triangle gift bags was finally determined, and we completed the triangle hand bag samples that met the requirements.

After receiving the samples, the customers were very satisfied with the quality of the bags we provided, especially the printing and dyeing process and the cutting process. 

Japanese triangle bag pattern is very clear and the colors are bright, it fully meets their design standards. the cotton triangle bag feels comfortable, the overall workmanship is fine, and the seam edge process is flat.

Customer Feedback

After receiving the samples, the customers conducted a detailed inspection and provided positive feedback. 

The customers said that they were very satisfied with the overall effect of the bag with triangle design, especially the printing effect.

The custom cotton Japanese triangle bag was also highly praised by the customer. It feels soft and comfortable and has a certain durability, perfectly fits their product design concept.

The customer also highly recognized the adjustment of the size of the final product. Although the adjustment of the triangle bag shape and size is relatively complicated, our multiple communications and repeated samples in the proofing stage ensured the perfect presentation of the final custom triangle bag.

Summary

In this cooperation, Pace-Setter successfully custom cotton Japanese triangle bag for a bag company in Hong Kong, China, overcoming the difficulty of adjusting the size of the cut pieces and ensuring that the final product meets the customer’s design requirements and quality standards.

This cooperation is the first cooperation between the two parties, but we have successfully established a trusting relationship through efficient communication, precise proofing, strict production control and high-quality final products.
